Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of Terms

By downloading, installing, or using ChopPicker ("the App"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the App.

These Terms apply to all users of ChopPicker, including users who access the app as guests (without creating an account) and registered users.

2. Description of Service

ChopPicker is a mobile application that provides AI-powered food suggestions, primarily focused on Nigerian cuisine. The App allows users to:

• Browse and swipe through AI-curated food suggestions
• Save favourite dishes to a personal collection
• Filter suggestions by mood
• Share food suggestions with others

3. AI-Generated Content Disclaimer

ChopPicker uses artificial intelligence to generate food descriptions, images, and suggestions. By using the App, you acknowledge and agree that:

• Food suggestions, descriptions, and images may be entirely AI-generated and may not represent real dishes, restaurants, or food establishments
• Calorie counts, preparation times, and nutritional information are estimates only and may be inaccurate
• AI-generated food imagery may not accurately represent how a dish looks in real life
• Suggestions are for entertainment and inspiration purposes only and do not constitute professional nutritional, dietary, or medical advice
• ChopPicker is not responsible for any decisions you make based on food suggestions provided by the App

4. User Accounts

You may use ChopPicker as a guest or by signing in with Google. If you create an account:

• You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account
• You must provide accurate information and keep it up to date
• You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account
• You must notify us immediately of any unauthorised use of your account

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.

5. Acceptable Use

You agree not to use ChopPicker to:

• Violate any applicable law or regulation
• Attempt to reverse-engineer, hack, or disrupt the App or its servers
• Scrape or collect data from the App using automated tools without our permission
• Impersonate another person or entity
• Transmit spam, malware, or any harmful content
• Use the App for any commercial purpose without our prior written consent

6. Intellectual Property

ChopPicker and all of its content, features, and functionality — including but not limited to the name, logo, design, text, graphics, and software — are owned by ChopPicker and are protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws.

You may not reproduce, distribute, modify, or create derivative works of any part of ChopPicker without our prior written permission.

AI-generated content within the App (descriptions, images, suggestions) is generated on our behalf and the same intellectual property restrictions apply.

Third-Party Content

ChopPicker may display images and other media sourced from third-party platforms or publicly available resources. While we strive to use content that is appropriately licensed or freely available for use, we do not claim ownership of such third-party materials.

If you are a copyright owner and believe your content has been used improperly, please contact us and we will promptly review and remove the content where necessary.

7. User-Generated Content

ChopPicker does not currently allow users to post public content. Your personal data (swipes, favourites, preferences) is private and used only to personalise your experience as described in our Privacy Policy.

8. Disclaimer of Warranties

ChopPicker is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. We make no warranties, expressed or implied, including but not limited to:

• The accuracy, completeness, or usefulness of any food suggestions
• That the App will be uninterrupted, error-free, or secure
• That AI-generated content will be accurate or suitable for your dietary needs

9. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, ChopPicker and its team shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from:

• Your use of, or inability to use, the App
• Any food decisions you make based on App suggestions
• Inaccuracies in AI-generated food descriptions or images
• Any unauthorised access to or alteration of your data

10. Changes to the App

We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of ChopPicker at any time, with or without notice. We will not be liable to you for any such modifications, suspensions, or discontinuations.

11. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes through the App or by email. Your continued use of ChopPicker after changes to these Terms constitutes your acceptance of the updated Terms.

12. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria. Any disputes arising from these Terms or your use of ChopPicker shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Nigeria.
